some comments on HW2

I have almost finished checking your HW2s submitted.

For those who submitted by paper, I will return them in the next class with marks, and for those who turned in by e-mail, I will replay and tell marks by the next class.

Here is my criteria for OK or Not-OK.

1. If one worked on only one of the 2 questions, he gets NOT-OK.

2. If one worked on both of the questions, she gets OK if she satisfies at least one of the followings.

a. she seems to have understood "recursive formulation of social planner's or household's problems" and "Recursive Competitive Equilibrium", (i.e. did well (at least near to) on 2, 8, 9 (numbers correspond to that of question written) of question 1 and 2, 3, 8, 9 of question 2
b. she answered both of the application questions with own reasonings.

Here is my general comment.
For some of you, I strongly recommend to review "how to define recursive competitive equilibrium". There were so many who had omitted price functions (such as p(K,H), w(K,H)) from the equilibrium objects. Also, make sure to distinguish aggregate (Big K) and decision variable (little k).

Here hw2sol.pdf is solution key for HW2, which was originally written by former TAs. Good luck on the quiz!

I've finished grade for Quiz 1 and gave answersheets back to you in today's class.

Solution to Quiz 1 and One Announcement

This is the solution to Quiz 1. In regards to Quiz1, there is some typos.(Those who attented TA session doesn't have to care about them.)Those are;

1. In the solution law of motion are corrected as repectively

・A'=roh_{A}*A+eta' →lnA'=roh_{A}*lnA+eta'

・G'=roh_{G}*G+epsilon' →G'=(1-roh_{G})*Bar{G}+roh_{G}*G+epsilon'

2. At part (E), we need the additional assumpiton. That is Bar{G}=0.



Also, We have an announcement. Some students ask us to submit HW2 with pdf file. Then we asked Toni and he said ,its fine if students submit neat hand written solutions as long as the solutions are written in English".".So how to subimit your homework is your opition(either pdf file or A4-Report).
